Who We Are, What We Do

Agnès Artemel developed 501(c) Management Resources, originally named Association Management Resources, in response to a need she perceived when working as a planner and project coordinator.  Working as a consultant to corporations and developers, Ms. Artemel saw associations and non-profit organizations  relying on volunteers or inexperienced entry-level employees to accomplish important mission related objectives.  501(c) Management Resources was formed to meet the needs of non-profits and associations by providing staff with knowledge, expertise and experience to support your organization's one-time  projects or handle your day-to-day functions.  You benefit from our special attention and customized services that leave your free to really get to know your members, initiate special programs or expand your services, serve your members successfully and accomplish your mission.

Providing an experienced professional staff of strategic planners, business communication specialists, and financial and management consultants, plus individuals with expertise in marketing, website maintenance, graphic design, photography and fundraising experts, 501(c) Management Resources helps you cope with the overload, complications and specialized projects that are an inevitable part of the fast-paced and demanding job of running your non-profit or association successfully.

Agnès Artemel

Agnès has more than 25 years of experience in strategic planning, organizational development, and general management.  Her career in non-profit management started with an offer to be the Executive Director for the Alexandria Building Industry Association (ABIA), a position she kept until the ABIA merged with the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association.  Subsequently, she was founding Executive Director of the Eisenhower Partnership, where she and a small staff were responsible for all aspects of management, membership recruitment, finances, strategic planning, and compliance for the organization.

Since then, she founded a number of special interest nonprofits, nurturing their growth until others could take over.  She also assisted a number of others in strengthening their operations.  Her particular interests are governance, increasing Board effectiveness, and strategic planning.  She also plans special events, develops communications strategies, coordinates projects with multiple organizations involved, and defines marketing campaigns.  Agnès uses her skills in urban planning to help businesses and non-profit organizations navigate local zoning processes to obtain use and occupancy permits.  She recently completed an assignment for Fairfax County, Virginia helping a local economic development non-profit define its mission, revise its Bylaws, launch a membership campaign, schedule an annual meeting and election, and strengthen internal operating procedures.

Ms. Artemel has been heavily involved as a volunteer on community boards, including the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership, the Old Town North Community Partnership, the North Old Town Independent Citizens Association, and the West End Business Association.  She is a member of NAIOP's Government Relations Committe in the Washington Metropolitan Area and the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce Government Relations Committee. She volunteers her expertise on Urban Land Institute Technical Assistance Panels and has given lectures at area universities.
